Conditional ratings can result in losing loads, being paid less for loads, and increased insurance premiums. In addition, unsatisfactory ratings require motor carriers to complete a corrective action plan and submit it to the FMCSA within 60 days. If that plan isn’t approved by the FMCSA, the motor carrier will be put out of service until a plan has been approved.
